The Goethe-Zertifikat B2 exam is modular. This means it consists of four separate sections: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. You can take these modules together or individually, and you receive a separate certificate for each module passed. To get the full certificate, you must pass all four modules.
While some universities require a C1 level, numerous preparatory courses ( Studienkollegs ) and specific undergraduate or postgraduate programs accept a B2 certificate for enrollment.
The Goethe-Zertifikat B2 is modular. If you pass at least one module, you will receive a certificate for that specific module. You can then retake the failed modules individually. A module is passed when you achieve at least 60 points, or 60%.
