When a cloned interface running on the Atmega162 platform is connected to a PC with VCDS 22.3.1 installed, the software can detect it and disable it, a process known as "revoking" the license. This often corrupts the EEPROM data on the interface, causing a "license revoked" or "interface not found" error. The repair process is essentially a reset, restoring the interface's identification data so it is once again recognized by the software.
