On the Next State of the Arts

State of the Arts has been taking you on location with the most creative people in New Jersey and beyond since 1981. The New York and Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award-winning series features documentary shorts about an extraordinary range of artists and visits New Jersey’s best performance spaces. State of the Arts is on the frontlines of the creative and cultural worlds of New Jersey.

State of the Arts is a cornerstone program of NJ PBS, with episodes co-produced by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Stockton University, in cooperation with PCK Media. The series also airs on WNET and ALL ARTS.

On this week's episode... New Jersey Heritage Fellowships are an honor given to artists who are keeping their cultural traditions alive and thriving. On this special episode of State of the Arts, we meet three winners, each using music and dance from around the world to bring their heritage to New Jersey: Deborah Mitchell, founder of the New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble; Pepe Santana, an Andean musician and instrument maker; and Rachna Sarang, a master and choreographer of Kathak, a classical Indian dance form.

Wbpdcl Real Time Generation Best |verified| Jun 2026

Real-time generation refers to the actual amount of electricity generated by a power plant or a group of power plants at a given point in time. It is a critical parameter that reflects the ability of a power plant to meet the electricity demand of the grid. In other words, real-time generation is the live data of power generation, which is usually measured in megawatts (MW).

The so-called "duck curve" is now a reality across Indian grids: surplus renewable generation during mid-day hours, followed by steep evening ramp requirements of around 60 GW. On certain days, the grid experiences all-India diurnal demand variations of about 75 GW, with ramping needs reaching 500 MW per minute.

WBPDCL has been making significant efforts to improve its real-time generation performance. The company's power plants have been consistently generating electricity at high levels, meeting the demand of the grid. wbpdcl real time generation best

The adoption of Gentrack has brought immense value to WBPDCL's business processes. Here’s how the real-time generation monitoring capability directly benefits the corporation:

By improving efficiency and plugging avoidable losses, WBPDCL's profitability surged threefold, allowing it to pay significant dividends to the state government and provide incentives to its employees. of a specific thermal plant like Sagardighi Achievements and Awards - WBPDCL Real-time generation refers to the actual amount of

For thermal plants, this means operating at lower minimum technical loads (as low as 40 per cent of rated capacity) and undergoing frequent ramp-ups and ramp-downs. The Central Electricity Authority has mandated that thermal units achieve 55 per cent minimum load by 2024, progressing to 40 per cent by 2030.

In the rapidly evolving energy landscape of India, the West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) has emerged as a leader in reliable and efficient power generation. As the primary thermal power generator for the state of West Bengal, WBPDCL plays a critical role in supporting industrial growth and meeting the domestic electricity demands of millions.
